Review by Kyla Myers of Austin, Texas
Anyone who's been swimming in my pool will tell you that I'm a bit fanatical about sweeping the pool. I will go around that pool a million times. It's generally a frustrating experience because the mesh in my pool net is not fine enough to catch all the small stuff so it goes in but comes out again. What I immediately LOVED about the Pool Netr was how fine the net is and how well it picks up all the small stuff that my big net lets fall through. I was sold on this product within minutes of using it.
Buy it, it works great and it's very economical compared to other skimmers. You won't regret it!

Sorry if this review is a bit lengthy, but I went into this expecting this pool net to be just like every other pool net, flimsy, doesn't last, etc. When the box arrived at my house I didn't even realize it was my net, because this thing has some weight to it. It's not overly heavy, just not flimsy. My current net I was using was the standard net that is included with the Intex pool kits. The new net did not work on that pole intex included, but that's not really a surprise, most Intex stuff tends to be a bit proprietary. The old net would flex quite a bit when cleaning large piles of debris out of the pool, and I was always hesitant banging it on the side frame of the pool to clean the gunk off since it would bend and I was worried I'd break it.
My new Pool Netr though, is a tank. It has very little flex, and definitly didn't feel like it was going to bend to the point of breakage. The net is exceptionally well manufactured and designed, and made in America, which is a huge bonus in my opinion. To many company's offshore their product production nowadays. The mesh is blended well into the frame of the net, it is not going to tear away from the frame. It is also a coated metal instead of thin plastic, so it should stand up to the elements exceptionally well even if left out in the sun all season.
Overall I am very happy with this new net, it works great and should last me a long time. My one complaint, which isn't a fault of the net per say so much as me using it for something it wasn't designed for, is that it has a rounded frame instead of a square frame. This means it isn't the best tool for scraping debris off the bottom of the pool without first stirring up that debris a bit too get it off the bottom. [Ed. - We've resolved that now with our newest model, the Leaf Netr™. It has the flat lip he's talking about, and it should work great for him!] ... I know a pool vac is meant to clean the bottom, but I'm lazy and don't feel like getting that out and hooking it up for quick cleanups. All in all, it's an excellent product that definitely had a lot of thought and engineering go into its development.

Review by Kevin Penrose of Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania
I've been using the Pool Netr for a couple of weeks now. I'm very impressed with the construction; it's a very solidly made skimmer, unlike any I've owned before, and for the price makes this a good bargain in my mind. However, I do have a couple of problems with this skimmer. The fact that it's round is a problem in that when leaves and other detritus are floating at the edge of the pool, you need to be very accurate with your skimming or else the net will go right below or above the edge of the skimmer, never getting caught in the screening. And while the skimmer is very sturdy, due to its thick frame, that adds to the problems encountered when trying to scoop things from the edge of the pool. It's perfect for things floating out in the middle of the pool, but things along the edge are very hard to get to. Also, the unit I received has a wave in the screening, so no matter which side I use, the is a raised part of screening which doesn't catch things that well. Again, this is due to the rugged construction: there is not enough flex in the screening to create a depression where things are trapped in the screen. So, all-in-all, great construction, but that construction leaves a little to be desired in the application.

Review by Jared Hundrup of Post Falls, Idaho
This net has been a welcome change for my pond cleaning. I was using another net and crappy pole previously and it kept breaking on me clogging up and was a general pain to use and clean out. I'd duct taped it a few too many times. This net works so much better, it's more rigid and has a tighter mesh. It does a great job of grabbing leaves, feathers and the scuz and floating algae that accumulates. Unlike a pool that has a ton of chemicals, my pond is pretty natural and gets a lot of junk floating and growing in it. I should have purchased something like this long ago and avoided a ton of frustration.
